The new rule for issuing Schengen visas was also adopted by other EU countries, including Austria, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Estonia, Switzerland, Spain, France, Croatia and others.
Some Consulates and Visa Application Centers do not accept non-EU travel insurance from applicants, other EU countries only warn that such insurance may be needed at any time so that applicants should be ready to provide it to the Consulate/Visa Application Center by their request. At the same time, refusals to issue a visa when providing travel medical insurance issued by a non-EU insurance company have become more frequent.
