Due to the implementation of the Concept of the State Migration Policy of Russia for 2019-202510 the Decree of the President of Russia on the creation of the Interdepartmental Commission of the Security Council of Russia on improving the state migration policy has been posted on the official Internet portal of legal information on February 10, 2022.
The following duties will be assigned to the Committee:
- analysis of the migration situation in Russia, identification of areas requiring improvement;
- preparation of proposals to the Security Council on migration policy, suppression of illegal migration, labor migration, etc.
- development of international cooperation in the migration field;
- analysis of the effectiveness of the activities of bodies and organizations to implement the decisions of the Security Council in the migration sphere, making proposals for their improvement;
- examination of draft decisions of the executive authorities of Russia, including subjects in the migration field;
- participation in the development of documents aimed at improving migration policy.
