By Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated May 25, 2022 No. 304 "On Amendments to Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated April 24, 2019 No. 183 "On the definition for humanitarian purposes of the categories of persons entitled to apply for admission to the citizenship of the Russian Federation in a simplified manner" in addition to the citizens of the LPR and the DPR, citizens of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions of Ukraine were included in the number of persons entitled to apply for Russian citizenship by the simplified procedure.
The Decree entered into force from the moment of its publication.
