Quota of 2017 on work permits and invitations of foreign citizens from visa countries approved
On December o3, 2016 the Russian Government adopted the Decree №1228 on determining the need of attracting foreign workers arriving to the RF on the basis of visas, including the priority professional and qualification groups, and on approval of quotas for 2017.
In 2017 the established need of attracting foreign workers arriving in Russia based on visa is 177 043 people, it is 82.7% of the need established in 2016.
The need of attracting foreign workers on the priority professional and qualification groups is defined on the basis of proposals from the territorial entities of Russia.
Quotas are set at 177,043 invitations to work in Russia and 177,043 work permits.
The Decree provides the following distribution of quotas on the priority professional and qualification groups of the need of attracting foreign visa-workers defined for 2017:
