On May 27, 2016 the Federal Law as of 28.11.2015 N 330-FZ "On the apostille of Russian official documents to be exported outside the territory of Russia", which established the legal and organizational framework, and rules of apostille of official documents to be taken outside the Russian territory, comes into force.
The federal law defined the basic terms, legal regulation of apostille, powers of the competent authorities in the field of apostille, a list of documents considered as the Russian official documents, the terms for placing apostille, a state fee for apostille, filling apostille. Also the requirements for the content of the register of Apostilles were established, the register includes:
- The serial number of the Apostille and the date of its affixing;
- surname and initials of the person signing the Russian official document;
- The position of the person signing the Russian official documents.
