On August 25, 2017, in Ekaterinburg a new migration center was opened at Sulimova, 46.
According to the publication of znak.com, the following executives took part in the grand opening of the сутеук: the deputy chief of the Main Migration Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Alexander Aksenov, the head of the Main Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sverdlovsk region Mikhail Borodin and the human rights commissioner of the region Tatyana Merzlyakova. It was noted that the opening of the modern migration center is connected with the preparation for the World Cup 2018.
The migration center has medical personnel, human rights lawyers, so all the consultations are available on-site. An electronic queue as well as children's corner were installed. The area of the new migration center is 2 thousand square meters. To maintain security measures, the perimeter around the center has been fenced and taken under surveillance of 58 cameras, 5 of them are mounted outside. The migration center can accomodate at least 400 people a day.
