The State Duma of Russia registered a bill protecting the rights of foreign citizens who arrived in the Crimea until 21.04.2014. The bill provides that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia will have the right to independently extend the term of stay in the territory of Russia for a foreign citizen who arrived in the Crimea before 21.04.2014. "This right will extend to relatives on the direct ascendant line, adoptive parents or spouse of persons who have been deportated from the territory of the Crimean ASSR illegaly, as well as to relatives on a direct descending line, adopted children or spouse of the above-mentioned person", explained the State Duma deputy Ruslan Balbek.
