On April 13, 2017 the first Multifunctional migration center (hereinafter – MMC) in Eastern Siberia was opened in Irkutsk.
The purpose of the MMC operating is to optimize the labor migration of foreign citizens, as well as the comprehensive provision of public services.
Every day, the MMC serves more than 100 foreign citizens. Foreign citizens wishing to obtain a patent are accepted at the MMC by the electronic queue. The MMC also provides services of forming of the set of necessary documents, obtaining insurance policy, as well as the direction of foreign citizens to medical institutions and online testing for knowledge of the Russian language, history and culture of Russia. At the same time, there are also plans for the MMC to establish a functioning recruitment agency, to ensure the presence of medical specialists, to arrange the issuance of temporary residence permits, permanent residence permits, Russian citizenship, and primary migration registration.
The increase in budget revenues is expected in connection with the start of work of the new MMC.
