The Russian Foreign Ministry spoke about the work begun on the abolition of visas to Russia for foreign tourists

Despite the fact that the EU countries are discussing possible restrictions on the issuance of Schengen visas to Russian citizens, the European Commission decided to stop the visa facilitation agreement with Russia, and some states impose a complete ban on the entry of Russians, regardless of whether they have visas, the President of Russia at the meeting of the Presidium The State Council for Tourism said that one should not "cling to reciprocity" in matters of visa regime with other countries.

The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, said on Wednesday September 7, 2022 that the Russian Foreign Ministry took into operational study the order of Russian President Vladimir Putin to abolish the visa regime for groups of foreign tourists.

Earlier, Putin also instructed to work out the issue of creating interstate tourism organizations after Russia's withdrawal from the World Tourism Organization.
