From March 07, 2022, you no longer need to have a valid vaccination certificate or a negative PCR test result to enter Hungary. These documents will also not be required when visiting restaurants and other public places. In addition, the country has abolished the requirement to wear masks in public places.
At the moment, Hungary is not the only country that has lifted entry restrictions. Countries that have already opted out of checking PCR tests and vaccination certificates are as follows:
El Salvador - from November 17;
Mexico - from January 1;
Norway - from February 12;
Dominican Republic - from February 17;
Slovenia - February 19;
Bahrain - from February 20;
Iceland - from February 25;
Jordan - from March 1;
Saudi Arabia - from March 7;
Hungary - from March 7;
Romania - from March 9;
Montenegro - from March 11.
Please note that some of them still require you to fill out online forms before departure or have insurance with coverage for treatment against COVID-19.
