The Consulates of China in Russia resumed accepting documents and the issuance of all categories of visas for citizens of Russia from March 15, 2023, we wrote about this in our news.
Earlier, after the complete suspension of visa processes started at the beginning of the pandemic, the Chinese Embassy and Consulates in Russia had a limit for accepting documents for business visas, as well as for work visas. However, the procedure was complicated due to limited slots for submitting documents, the terms for an appointment to the competent authorities of China could last several months. However, since March 15, 2023, the situation has not changed and it is still almost impossible to "catch" a slot by yourself, as bots grab available appointments.
Nowadays, in most cases, the high demand on trips to China is associated with the beginning of business activity. The main reason is the rapid development of the eastern direction of business after the start of the special military operation. Also, many representatives of Russian companies planned to visit the famous trade exhibition, which takes place in Guangzhou from April 15, 2023, till May 5, 2023.
At the moment, self-appeal to the Consulate of China does not guarantee obtaining a visa in the coming months, also due to the lack of slots for registration for the submission of documents (if any, the date of submission is very distant).
