Amendments to the Federal law «On the order of enter and exit of the RF»

On July 12, 2017, amendments to the Federal Law "On the order of enter and exit of the RF" came into force.

 

These changes provide the correction of some textual formulations. In particular, the words "the federal executive body authorized to carry out the functions of control and supervision in the sphere of migration" are replaced by the words "the federal executive body in the sphere of internal affairs".

 

The words "information and telecommunications networks of general use, including the Internet, including a unified portal" has been replaced by the wording "unified portal".

 

Provisions for multifunctional centers are specified. Article 8 of this Federal Law adds the following text:

 

"Upon application for issuance of a passport submitted through a multifunctional center for the provision of state and municipal services, the passport is issued by the federal executive body in the sphere of internal affairs or its territorial body and is issued to the applicant in this multifunctional center".

 

Also, the powers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and their relationship with the powers of other bodies are specified. In Art. 25.10 of this Federal Law the following text is added:

 

"The procedure of interaction of the federal executive body in the sphere of internal affairs and its territorial bodies with federal executive bodies authorized to decide on the non-admittance of entry to the RF or the decision on the undesirability of stay (residence) in the RF and their territorial authorities in exercising control over execution by foreign citizens and stateless persons of such decisions is established by joint regulatory legal acts of the federal executive power in the sphere of internal affairs and interested federal executive bodies".
