The State Duma of the Russian Federation prepared a draft Federal Law N 547034-7 "On Amendments to Article 6 of the Federal Law "On Citizenship of Russia".
This draft law establishes the procedure for applying by persons who previously reported in the prescribed manner about the presence of another citizenship or a document confirming the right of permanent residence in a foreign state.
Also, for those citizens of Ukraine who obtained, in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, the Russian citizenship as well as an identity document of a Russian citizen, this draft law establishes the status of a citizen who does not have citizenship of Ukraine, in accordance with the decision of this citizen to leave Ukraine’s citizenship and with the Federal Law "On the citizenship of the Russian Federation".
