The draft law proposes to lower the age of taking the oath upon acquiring Russian citizenship from 18 to 14 years.
According to the explanatory note to the draft law, it is being introduced "in order to increase the patriotic spirit and consciously take the obligation to comply with the Constitution of Russia and the legislation of Russia."
