Restrictions for foreign citizens in the cities of football events entered into force

In continuation of the previously published news as of May 12, 2017 on the migration registration in the cities of Kazan, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, from June 1 to July 12, 2017, we would like to notify that starting from June 1, 2017, the Presidential Decree, introducing restrictions for foreign citizens in cities hosting football events entered into force.

Confidence Group received confirmation from such branches of Department on migration issues of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as Tagansky, Veshnyaki, Dorogomilovo, Fili-Davydkovo, Severnoye Tushino, Danilovsky, Basmanny and Zamoskvorechye both by telephone and by personal visits - on the need of migration registration for foreign citizens within 1 day.

 

Confidence Group reminds that the migration registration must be carried out at every entrance to the territory of the RF. In order to be able to run the services of the preparation of documents and facilitate the registration of foreign citizens for migration registration smoothly, we kindly ask you to provide information about entry to the territory of Russia no later than 2 hours before the moment of crossing the border of Russia by a foreign citizen, and prepare the forms signed by the customer promptly and be ready to pass them no later than 4 hours before the moment of crossing the Russian border. A detailed procedure for changing the conditions will be sent to customers of Confidence Group in the near future.

 

Unfortunately, the Decree does not take into account the difficulties that can arise in the event of the arrival of a foreign citizen to Russia on weekends, when migration register within one day is problematic.

 

We would like to inform you that Confidence Group has a ready solution of the issue of applying of migration registration in the event that an employee (a foreign citizen) arrives in Russia on Friday or on a weekend.

 

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that the situation in the Department on migration issues of Ministry of Internal Affairs is generally tense, and due to the increased volume of appeals from organizations, there are large queues.

 

At the same time, the Decree restricts the methods of migration registration. In order to make a migration registration at the place of stay, the host party or a foreign citizen must provide a notification of arrival to the Ministry of Internal Affairs directly to the migration registration authority (Department on migration issues of Ministry of Internal Affairs). The transfer of notifications on arrival to the migration registration authority (Department on migration issues of Ministry of Internal Affairs) by means of a postal mail, or by the request to the multifunctional migration center are not provided by the Decree.

 

Please note that organizations that personally applied for migration registration in the territorial office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the first time, along with a set of documents for migration registration, are also required to present a set of documents for the registration of the organization.
