On October 20, 2016, Anna Dyakonova, the Head of the temporary residence permits and residence permits division of the Department of Migration issues of the Ministry of Interior affairs, was detained for taking bribes.
Criminal proceedings have also been initiated against the accomplice of the police employee - an individual entrepreneur Anna Blinova.
According to investigators, Blinova decided to arrange the systematic bribe-taking by familiar officials of the Department of Migration issues of MIA from foreign citizens applying to her for the assistance in registration of temporary residence permits, residence permits and Russian citizenship.
According to the investigation, in August she entered into a criminal conspiracy with Anna Dyakonova, as well as with other unidentified officials of this department. Starting from August 18 to September 05, the accomplices in a crime got 45 thousand rubles for issuing temporary residence permits.
