In the morning of June 16, some foreign citizens violating the migration legislation, who did not have a medical insurance policy, were arrested in St. Petersburg at the metro station "Parnas" and "Devyatkino", reports fontanka.ru.
The foreign citizens will be drawn up under the Article 18.8 of the Administrative Code, the sanction - a fine of up to 5,000 rubles.
The policy of voluntary medical insurance (VMI) is a document, obligatory to every foreign citizen for the entire period of validity of documents permitting a labor activity. Availability of this policy is necessary for an employment contract with a foreign citizen.
