On September 12, 2016, the Polish Embassy in Moscow sent a note to the RF, stating that Russian border guards do not allow the entrance of Polish citizens to the country through the border with Belarus.
Earlier, the Polish radio station RMF FM reported that Russian border guards allegedly did not pass the foreigners traveling by private car through the checkpoint on the border of Russia and Belarus. Polish media state that foreigners, in particular, the Poles, the Czechs and the Lithuanians, who travel to Russia through Belarus, are now forced to enter the country through Latvia.
There are still no Russia's comments on these statements.
Probably this is connected to the previous Poland actions. Starting from July 4, Poland suspended for a short-term the agreements on the order of local border traffic with the Kaliningrad region because of the summit of the North Atlantic Alliance and the World Youth Day. In response, Russia also suspended the regime. On August 02, Poland has not decided to resume cross-border movement regime with the Kaliningrad region yet.
It was reported on the website of RIA Novosti.
