“Residents of Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics, as well as citizens of Ukraine who arrived on the territory of the Russian Federation, who do not yet have a compulsory medical insurance policy, can receive the necessary medical care free of charge throughout the Russian Federation, including new regions, in case of diseases and conditions included in the program of state guarantees of free provision of medical care to citizens.
The relevant government decree was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers, but has not yet been published on the portal of legal information.
In itself, all citizens of Russia, including those living in new regions, have the right to receive medical care under the compulsory medical insurance policy and the policy itself. The specified resolution will regulate situations in which Russian citizens living in new regions have not yet had time to receive a compulsory medical insurance policy in the established order. Also, the resolution will legally clarify the categories of such citizens and the necessary sources of funding.
We are closely monitoring the development of the situation and will inform you as soon as this document is officially published.
