Russian citizens still need a visa to visit Italy, whether for tourism or business purposes. Despite stricter regulations, Italy remains a popular destination.

Current Visa Types:

• Single/Double-entry visas (most common)
• Multiple-entry visas (rare, max 90 days per 180-day period)

1. Moscow/MO - VMS Visa Center (Maly Tolmachevsky per. 6-1)
2. St. Petersburg/NW Region - Italian Visa Center SPb
3. Other regions - Through "Almaviva" company (Moscow, Kaluzhskaya sq. 1-2)

Important Notes:

• Appointment required (slots open 1-2 weeks in advance)
• Documents must be submitted at least 60 days before travel
• Current processing delays (up to 60-65 days as of July 2025)

Documents for a Business Visa to Italy

1. Completed Application Form
  ·         Online form, printed and signed by the applicant.

2. Invitation from an Italian Company

·         Original or copy on company letterhead.

·         Must include: company stamp, signature, full name, and position of the signatory.

  ·         The signatory must be listed in the Italian Chamber of Commerce (Visura di Camerale).

3. Copy of the Inviting Party’s Passport
·         Pages with personal details and signature of the Italian company’s employee.

4. Chamber of Commerce Certificate (Visura di Camerale)

·         Copy, valid for no more than 6 months.

·         Must include information about the person who signed the invitation.

5. Hotel Reservation

·         For the entire duration of the trip.

·         Must include: hotel name, address, phone number, stay dates, and full name.

·         Alternative: address of stay specified in the invitation.

6. Flight Reservation

·         Itinerary: Russia-Italy-Russia or via third countries.

·         Reservation must remain valid throughout the processing period.

7. Photograph

·         Color, 35×45 mm or 30×40 mm.

·         White background, face covering 70-80% of the photo.

·         Not scanned or used for other visas.

8. Passport

·         Valid for at least 3 months beyond the visa expiry date.

·         Copy of the first page.

·         Minimum of 2 blank pages.

9. Previous Passports

·         Originals and copies of all pages with stamps.

·         If surname was changed, supporting documents are required.

10. Financial Guarantees

·         Original bank statement for the last 3 months.

·         Must show account balance and transaction history.

·         Certified with a bank stamp.

·         Valid for 1 month.

❌ Not accepted:

·         2-NDFL tax certificates.

·         Currency exchange receipts.

·         Cash.

·         Uncertified electronic statements.

✅ Exceptions:

·         Tinkoff, Alfa-Bank, Sberbank, VTB.

·         Foreign banks without a presence in Russia.

11. Employment Certificate

·         On company letterhead.

·         In English.

·         Must include:

• Company address and phone number.
• Position, salary, and length of employment.
• Purpose and duration of the trip.
• Guarantee of covering expenses.

1. Completed Application Form (same as for a business visa).
2. Hotel Reservation

·         For the entire trip duration.

·         For multiple hotels, reservations for all stays are required.

3. Flight Reservation (same as for a business visa).

4. Photograph (same requirements).

5. Passport (same requirements).

6. Previous Passports (same requirements).

7. Proof of Employment:

• For employees:

·         Employment certificate on company letterhead.

·         Must indicate position, salary, and length of employment.

·         Valid for 1 month.

• For self-employed individuals:

·         2-NDFL/3-NDFL tax certificate for the last 3 months.

·         Extract from the Unified State Register of Individual Entrepreneurs (EGRIP).

• For retirees:

·         Pension certificate or statement from the Pension Fund.

8. Financial Guarantees (same as for a business visa). § Recommended amount: from 250,000 RUB.

9. Medical Insurance (same requirements).

10. Copy of Russian Passport.

11. Consent to Data Processing.

Important!

The Consulate may:

·         Request additional documents.

·         Refuse the visa without explanation.

·         Reduce the visa validity or number of entries.

·         Extend processing time to 45 days or more.
