The application for admission to the citizenship of Russia must be filled out on a new form from 27.03.2023
The Decree of the President of Russia dated 27.03.2023 No. 202 "On Amending and Recognizing Certain Acts of the President of Russia as Invalid" was published and entered into force on 27.03.2023.
The amendments introduced by the decree are related to the abolition of the Pension Fund and the Social Insurance Fund from 01.01.2023 and their merger into a single Pension and Social Insurance Fund of Russia (abbreviated name - Social Fund of Russia, SFR, Unified Fund).
Among other things, the decree of 27.03.2023 changes the application form for admission to Russian citizenship. The changes are minor - the words "Pension Fund of Russia" are changed to the words "Pension and Social Insurance Fund of Russia" in the footnotes to the forms of applications for admission to the citizenship of Russia, applications for the issuance of a notice of the possibility of admission to the citizenship of Russia and applications for withdrawal from the citizenship of Russia.
New application forms are given in Appendix No. 1, Appendix No. 4 and Appendix No. 9 to the Regulation on the Procedure for considering issues of citizenship of Russia.
The decree came into force on the date of its publication – on 27.03.2023.
