The Ministry of Education and Science announced that from May 1, 2024, private educational institutions will be prohibited from issuing certificates to migrants for passing Russian language exams
The head of the Ministry of Education and Science Valery Falkov
announced the planned strengthening of control over the quality of the exam in the Russian language, knowledge of Russian history and the fundamentals of Russian legislation. The corresponding message from the press service appeared on the department’s Telegram channel.As part of strengthening control, the following measures are planned:
- exclude commercial organizations from the examination procedure and issuance of certificates;
- conclude agreements with state universities; a specific local state university will be responsible for conducting the exam in each subject of Russia;
- strengthen control over compliance with legislation during the examination and issuance of certificates, immediately inform the Ministry of Internal Affairs when violations are detected, and remove persons who committed violations from work.
The head of the department assigned direct personal responsibility for conducting the exam and issuing certificates to the rectors of higher educational institutions conducting the exam.
