The validity period of the Russian language proficiency certificate will be established by the Russian Government
The
Decree of the President of Russia dated 10.12.2024 No. 1062 "On Amendments to the Regulation on the Procedure for Considering Russian Citizenship Issues, approved by the Decree of the President of Russia dated 22 November 2023 No. 889" (hereinafter referred to as the Decree) has been published.These amendments bring the Regulation on the Procedure for Considering Russian Citizenship Issues into line with the law that came into force on 10.12.2024, according to which only state institutions from the list approved by the Russian Government will have the right to take exams in the Russian language, Russian history and the fundamentals of Russian legislation (more details in our news).
According to the Decree, the validity period of the Russian language proficiency certificate will be established by the Russian Government. Information about the certificate will be entered by the state institution that issued it into the federal information system "Federal Register of Information on Educational Documents and (or) Qualifications, Training Documents".
The decree entered into force on 10.12.2024.
Also on 10.12.2024, a resolution on the introduction of a uniform cost of exams for migrants throughout Russia was published and entered into force.
