Russian Federation has lifted restrictions on transport communication with Abkhazia, Belarus, DPR, Kazakhstan, China, LPR, Mongolia, Ukraine and South Ossetia from May 20, 2022
In continuation of our news on the procedure for canceling the suspension of terms related to stay and residence of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation, we inform you that the Order of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1253-r "On the list of foreign countries in respect of which the temporary restrictions on transport communication introduced by the Russian Federation have been lifted" was published on May 20, 2022.
In accordance with this Order, the date of lifting of temporary restrictions on transport communication with foreign countries is the date of inclusion of the relevant country in the specified list.
At the time of publication of the Order, the following states are included in the list:
· Republic of Abkhazia;
· Republic of Belarus;
· Donetsk People's Republic;
· Republic of Kazakhstan;
· People's Republic of China;
· Lugansk People's Republic;
· Mongolia;
· Ukraine;
· Republic of South Ossetia.
Since the list of foreign countries in respect of which the temporary restrictions on transport communication imposed by the Russian Federation have been lifted comes into force on the day of its publication (May 20, 2022), the previously suspended decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated 15.06.2021 No. 364 "On temporary measures to regulate the legal status of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Russian Federation during the period of overcoming consequences of the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19)" stops working for citizens from the above countries from August 18, 2022, in particular:
· terms of temporary stay of foreign citizens and stateless persons;
· the period for which such citizens are registered at the place of stay;
· validity of visas and migration cards with marks in them;
· validity of temporary residence permits in the Russian Federation and residence permits valid as of March 15, 2020;
· the 6-month duration period of stay outside the Russian Federation, necessary for the cancellation of a temporary residence permit, residence permit or a permit for the work of the HQS.
In this regard, Confidence Group recommends foreign citizens to regulate their legal status before this date, or for them to leave the territory of the Russian Federation.
