The Ministry of Internal Affairs is ready to accept a proposal to halve the period for issuing patents for labor migrants and increase the period of their validity
Commissioner for the Protection of the Rights of Entrepreneurs Boris Titov suggested introducing a number of exemptions for visa-free labor migrants in Russia. In particular, the Ombudsman proposes to reduce the term for issuing a patent for labor migrants from 10 to 5 days, and also to extend the term of patents from 1 year to 3 years.According to Deputy Interior Minister Andrey Khrapov, the department agrees to the introduction of such changes, Kommersant reports.
