Sergey Sobyanin announced that as early as 2025, electronic migrant cards will be introduced in Moscow as part of an experiment
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin
announced in an interview with TASS that in 2025, a system of electronic IDs for foreign citizens will be launched in Moscow, with the help of which it will be possible to check all the current information about the owners.We wrote about this initiative earlier in our news.
It is planned that such cards will contain the following information about the foreign citizen - the holder of the electronic card in visual (graphic) and electronic (machine-readable) forms:
• Full name;
• Citizenship;
• Date of birth;
• Photograph;
• Biometric data;
• Date of entry into Russia;
• Other information.
Sobyanin also announced the introduction of biometric control at Moscow airports as part of an experiment (we wrote about this initiative earlier, the project is scheduled to launch on December 1, 2024).
