On February 13, 2024, a decree of the Moscow Government was published on the launch of a project of issuing electronic cards for foreign citizens
On February 13, 2024, on the website of regulatory legal acts of Moscow,
Decree of the Moscow Government of February 6, 2024 N 205-PP on issuing of electronic cards to foreign citizens and stateless persons temporarily staying in Russia was published.These cards are proposed to be issued to foreign citizens and stateless persons temporarily staying in Russia when they apply to the MFC for this card. It is planned that such cards will contain in visual (graphic) and electronic (machine readable) forms the following information about the foreign citizen - the holder of the electronic card:
- Last name, first name, patronymic (if exists)
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Photograph
- Information about citizenship
- Electronic card series and number
- Expiration date of the electronic card
- Sample signature of the electronic card holder.
The electronic card will be valid for 5 years.
The Decree also provides for the possible addition of types of information that such cards will contain, that is, this project is planned to be expanded.
