The draft law submitted to the State Duma at the end of November 2024 has not yet undergone any approvals
On November 26, 2024, a
draft law was submitted to the State Duma for consideration, proposing to make significant changes to the entry, exit and stay in Russia of foreign citizens who arrived for the purpose of carrying out labor activities. The authors of the draft law were deputies of the "A Just Russia" faction.We wrote more about the draft law after it was submitted to the State Duma of Russia and published on the official website of draft laws (read our news).
At the moment, the draft law has been sent to the State Duma Committee on the Commonwealth of Independent States, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots), and has not undergone any further approvals.
We remind you that the draft law provides for fairly global changes to the existing migration legislation, but at the same time contains a lot of contradictions and inconsistencies, in general the text of the law is very "raw" and not well thought out. Therefore, most likely its consideration will be lengthy, its adoption in the near future is unlikely.
