On July 23, 2024, the State Duma of Russia adopted two laws in the third and final reading: on the regime for deporting migrants who violated Russian migration legislation, and on the right of the police to make decisions on the administrative deportation of foreign citizens from Russia. We wrote about the adoption of both laws in the first reading in our news.Both laws were adopted with minor grammatical amendments relative to the original version.

After the laws are adopted by the State Duma of Russia, they must be approved by the Federation Council, signed by the President of Russia and published. Both laws will come into force 180 days after their official publication.
