From January 1, 2025, the amount of the fixed (monthly) advance payment for a patent in the Moscow Region, taking into account the established coefficients, for foreign citizens will be 8,900 rubles.
A similar increase in the cost of a patent was announced in Moscow (more details in our news).
The LDPR party deputies also developed a draft law providing for an increase in the basic advance payment to 2,400 rubles.
Currently, the amount of the basic advance payment, on the basis of which the cost of a work patent for foreign citizens is calculated, is 1,200 rubles and is indexed by the deflator coefficient, established annually, and by the regional coefficient (clause 2 of Article 227.1 of the Tax Code). In different regions in 2024, the minimum advance payment will range from 2,880 rubles (minimum) to 12,957 rubles (maximum).
If the draft law is adopted, the advance payment will double.
According to the explanation posted on the official website of the bill's authors, the LDPR party, doubling the base tariff will help replenish regional budgets and direct funds toward the construction of new roads, hospitals, schools, and other important social facilities in Russia.
We remind you that the Federal Tax Service in its Letter dated January 22, 2018, No. GD-4-11/926@, reported that if a foreign citizen paid for a patent at the current year's price before the start of the new year, then there is no need to pay the difference.
